Assets and Land Management Committee (ALM) Terms of Reference

The Committee is responsible for all of the management of the Assets and Land belonging to Combe Martin Parish Council. 

 

  1. MEMBERSHIP: 
    • Seven Councillors. 
    • A Quorum will be four members. 
    • Membership of the Committee will normally be decided at the annual meeting each year.  
    • The committee Chairman will normally be decided at the first meeting of the committee each year. 

     

    1. MEETINGS AND ADMISSION OF THE PUBLIC: 
    • The Committee will meet quarterly or as required. 
    • The Clerk will draw up the agenda and minute the meetings. 
    • The public may attend all meeting unless temporarily excluded from part of the meeting by means of special resolution. 

     

     

    1. POWERS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    • To review the Council’s properties, land, rents, leases and insurance annually. 
    • To keep the Asset Register up to date and to ensure the assets are maintained and managed effectively. 
    • The committee is an advisory committee with recommendations to be brought to full council.
