This notice is to inform anyone with an interest, that the Parish Council of Combe Martin is considering making Dogs Exclusion Orders, as follows:
THE FIRST ORDER would make it an offence for anyone to take a dog onto a piece of land from which dogs have been banned, in the area of land known as Combe Martin Beach, in the parish of Combe Martin.
This Order, if made, will apply to all land within the area bounded by the River Umber, the wall between the road and the Beach, the slipway from Cross Street onto the Beach, the wall of the Redwood Café, the wall of the Fo’c’s’le Inn, the boundary of the property known as the Quarterdeck, the south-easternmost boundary of the land known as the Scar, the north- easternmost boundary of the Scar, the hedge and/or fencing at the top of the cliffs to the north east of the Beach (but specifically excluding the Dog Exercise Area) the northernmost edge of the rock known as ‘Camel’s Eye’ and Low Water Mark of Tides.A section of the Beach in the south east corner of the Beach is Access Land.
This Order, if made, will apply from and including 15 March until and including
30 September annually.
THE SECOND ORDER would make it an offence for anyone to take a dog onto a piece of land from which dogs have been banned, in the areas of land known as Hollands Park, Chapel Lane, Combe Martin and Arnold’s Plot Play Area, off Blackmore Ham Lane, Combe Martin in the parish of Combe Martin.
This Order, if made, will apply to all land within the following areas:
1 Hollands Park Football pitch plus one metre on each side of the pitch,
2 Hollands Park Play Area – the area that is tarmacced and known as Hollands Park Play Area,
3 Arnold’s Plot Play Area – the area known as Arnold’s Plot and enclosed by fences, gates and stone walls.
This Order, if made, will be in force all year round.
Maps of the areas to be covered by the proposed order can be viewed at Combe Martin Parish Council’s office at Seacott, Cross Street, Combe Martin – Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am and 12 noon or at other times by previous arrangement.
Combe Martin Parish Council invites any representations on the proposal.
All representations need to be made to the Parish Council by 17 March, 2014.
