Warm Space this winter

The Parish Council is delighted to announce that we have been successful in a grant application to North Devon Council. This grant will help us to provide a Warm Space at the Community Centre this winter.

The Community Centre will be OPEN TO ALL, free of charge, through the daytime, this winter, as a warm space for anyone who wants to come and not have to heat their own house through the day. As well as a warm space (with a mix of comfy chairs, tables and chairs, and sofas) we will be making the kitchen available for making hot and cold drinks (tea, coffee, orange squash, etc provided). The grant will also allow us to have a TV screen set up, showing kids TV to help occupy our younger visitors. We also have free WIFI within the building, should you want to access the internet on your own device.

This Warm Space will operate alongside the Senior Citizens group, who have their own room in the Community Centre so more mature visitors to the Community Centre will also be able to see what that group gets up to and potentially join in with their sessions when they run.
